I have, however, seen a certain skit in the movie numerous times.
The Naughty Nineties - Who's On First?
Humor is an odd and constantly morphing thing. What is hilarious to one generation is dated and awkward by the next. I shudder to think of what my children (and children's children) will think of lolcats and Dane Cook (then again, I shudder to think of what my current generation thinks of Dane Cook).
I can say with some certainty, though, that I will always find this particular act funny, and feel pretty confident that people will agree with me on that act for a long, long time.
It tails off a bit once it gets to the outfield, but the extended riff on Who earning every penny of his paycheck never fails to get me. I'm aware the skit was a part of their act long before it appeared in any movie, but it's my list, so I'm counting it.
Actually, as mentioned before, I'm not counting it, since I haven't actually seen this movie. I wonder if it's any good?
this led to an almost equally fun Animaniacs skit called "Who's On the Stage?"
ReplyDeleteOoh. I need to see that.
ReplyDeleteI never really got into Animaniacs until after they were off the air, so there's a lot of stuff I haven't seen.
